What We Do

Street Fathers – Our Purpose

Street Fathers exists to provide a proactive, positive male presence in the lives of our children and the wider community. We are committed to being present, visible, and actively engaged with our young people—especially during times of crisis.

Our mission is to deliver a structured, rapid response in the aftermath of serious or fatal incidents, offering immediate and ongoing support to affected families, friends, peer groups, and the broader community. We recognize that moments of trauma require not just reaction, but care, presence, and guidance.

At the heart of our work is a deep commitment to:

  • Finding, supporting, and nurturing young people, particularly those at risk or
already affected by violence or disengagement.
  • Empowering single mothers, ensuring they are heard, their concerns are validated, and that they feel supported in the shared effort to keep their children safe.
  • Connecting young people with the services they need, through clear signposting and advocacy—whether it’s mental health support, education, employment opportunities, or mentorship.
  • Providing a safe, family-like environment, where change, growth, and rehabilitation are possible. We offer not just support, but opportunity—real alternatives to street life.

We believe that every young person deserves to feel safe, valued, and capable of achieving a better future. Street Fathers is here to stand in the gap, build trust, and walk alongside those who need us most.
